Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join the Data Platform team in a hybrid role. You will own reliability, automation, and delivery of systems powering data pipelines and analytics, building and maintaining cloud infrastructure (AWS-first), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tooling to accelerate secure data product delivery.

You will also shape data pipelines with AWS Glue, Athena, and S3 while contributing to the design and operation of the data platform.

Competenze

5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE with data engineering exposure.
Deep expertise with AWS core services (S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS).
Hands-on AWS data services experience: Glue, Athena, S3 lifecycle and security.
Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform and/or AWS CDK).
Strong CI/CD experience across GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent.
Experience with Docker and container orchestration (ECS/EKS/Kubernetes).
Proven ability to design observability systems (metrics, logging, tracing) for data/platform services.
Excellent communication and ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences.

Mansioni

Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL jobs and related data infra.
Build and manage AWS infrastructure (S3, IAM, VPC, Glue, Athena, Lake Formation).
Own the observability stack with metrics, logs, and alerts (CloudWatch, Datadog).
Develop self-service DataOps tooling and reusable templates/libraries.
Manage container and compute infra (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda) for data ingestion services.
Design and operate workflow orchestration (MWAA, Airflow, Step Functions).
Lead incident response and post-mortems for data platform outages.
Mentor junior engineers in DevOps and data engineering practices.
