AgileEngine is seeking a Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable systems. You will work in Java and/or Kotlin with Spring Boot, GraphQL, MongoDB Atlas, and Aurora MySQL on AWS, tackling everything from operational tooling to system architecture.

The role emphasizes compliance, cost-savings, observability, and a strong focus on coding, testing, and documentation within a product-led engineering team. Flexible remote/office options available.

Formación

• 3+ years of backend-focused software development experience.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin.
• Proficiency in MongoDB Atlas.
• Proficiency in Aurora MySQL on AWS.
• Experience building cloud-native distributed systems on AWS.
• Experience with Spring Boot.
• API development with GraphQL (Netflix DGS).
• Experience building and operating large-scale systems on a major cloud platform.

Responsabilidades

• Tackle lower-priority engineering tasks including maintenance, observability, and cost-savings.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance software systems.
• Contribute to system architecture and design through data-driven validation.
• Participate in code and design reviews to uphold engineering standards.
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and designers.
• Work with the Product Manager and engineers on mid-level design, coding, testing, and documentation.
