AgileEngine is seeking a Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable systems for a product-led engineering team. The role involves Java and/or Kotlin with Spring Boot, GraphQL, MongoDB Atlas, Aurora MySQL on AWS, and AWS-based cloud-native architectures.

You will contribute to architecture, perform mid-level design work, and engage in code reviews while collaborating with product managers, data scientists, and designers. The role supports flextime with remote and office options.

Formación

• 3+ years of backend-focused software development experience.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin.
• Proficiency in a modern NoSQL database, MongoDB Atlas.
• Proficiency in a modern relational database, Aurora MySQL on AWS.
• Experience building cloud-native distributed systems on AWS.
• Experience with the Spring Boot framework.
• API development with GraphQL (Netflix DGS).
• Experience building and operating large-scale, high-performance systems on a major cloud platform.

Responsabilidades

• Take on lower-priority engineering work the team lacks bandwidth for, including compliance and engineering maintenance.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable, performant, and reliable software systems.
• Contribute to system architecture and technical design, validating solutions with data and experimentation.
• Participate in code reviews and design reviews to maintain high engineering standards.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners, including software engineers, product managers, data scientists, and designers.
• Partner with a Product Manager and fellow engineers to clarify requirements and perform mid-level design work, focusing on coding, testing, and documentation.
