AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable systems using Node.js and AWS services. You will work with Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, GraphQL, MongoDB Atlas, and Aurora MySQL on AWS, covering architecture, tooling, and observability for a Product-led engineering team.

3+ years of backend experience, proficiency in Java or Kotlin, and strong cloud-native skills are required. Remote-friendly with flexible hours and exciting Fortune 500 projects.

Formación

• 3+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin.
• Experience with MongoDB Atlas.
• Experience with Aurora MySQL on AWS.
• Experience building cloud-native distributed systems on AWS.
• Experience with the Spring Boot framework.
• API development with GraphQL (Netflix DGS).
• Experience building and operating large-scale, high-performance systems on a major cloud platform.

Responsabilidades

• Take on lower-priority engineering work including compliance, maintenance, cost-savings, observability, and tooling.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable, performant software systems.
• Contribute to system architecture and design validated by data and experimentation.
• Participate in code reviews and design reviews to maintain high engineering standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners including engineers, product managers, data scientists, and designers.
• Partner with a Product Manager and fellow engineers to clarify requirements and perform mid-level design work.
