Job summary

Bayer is seeking an experienced Research and Impact Acceleration lead to define and drive the multi-year strategy for accelerating research and impact across the early breeding pipeline. You will align standards for hypothesis-driven design, enable technology initiatives, and govern adoption across crops and regions to deliver faster, higher-quality product delivery.

As part of the Capability Center, you will engage with universities and lead a cross-functional team to turn speed and evidence

Qualifications

  • PhD or MS in Plant or Animal Breeding, Quantitative or Statistical Genetics, Data Science, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of advanced breeding technologies, analytics, genomics, or quantitative genetics.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across regions and functions.

Responsibilities

  • Define vision and multi-year strategy for research acceleration in the early breeding pipeline.
  • Set standards for hypothesis-driven design and decision-ready evidence.
  • Shape the enabling-technology agenda across accelerated breeding, genomics, phenotyping, predictive analytics, automation, and digital workflows.
  • Lead adoption strategies and change management across crops and regions.
  • Own the impact metrics for cycle time, genetic gain, cost, quality, and adoption.
