Qualifications

• PhD or MS in Plant/Animal Breeding, Quantitative or Statistical Genetics, Data Science, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of advanced breeding technologies, analytics, genomics, and quantitative genetics.
• Ability to collaborate across regions and functions.
• Alignment with Bayer Values and leadership expectations.

Responsibilities

• Define long-term vision and multi-year strategy for research acceleration in the early breeding pipeline.
• Set standards for hypothesis-driven design and decision-ready evidence.
• Shape enabling-technology agenda across accelerated breeding, genomics, phenotyping, and analytics.
• Lead adoption strategies and change management across crops and regions.
• Own impact metrics and steer investments and leadership decisions.
• Contribute to global precision breeding and R&D focus areas.
• Engage with universities for talent development.
• Coordinate with leadership across commercial and product supply teams.
• Uphold HS&E, Compliance, DEI, and Human Rights principles.
