Job summary

Bayer is seeking a Research and Impact Acceleration Lead to define and execute the vision, strategy, and multi-year plan for accelerating research and impact across the breeding pipeline. You will manage improvements in speed of learning, evidence quality, and iteration capacity to translate innovation into faster, higher-quality product delivery worldwide.

This role requires coordinating with Capability Center, engaging with universities, and aligning with Global Breeding strategies and LRP,

Qualifications

PhD or MS in Plant or Animal Breeding, Quantitative or Statistical Genetics, Data Science, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of advanced breeding technologies, analytics, genomics, and/or quantitative genetics with a track record of innovation.
Ability to collaborate across regions and functions and influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Define the vision and multi-year strategy for research acceleration in the early breeding pipeline.
Set standards for hypothesis-driven design and decision-ready evidence.
Shape enabling-technology agenda across accelerated breeding, genomics, phenotyping, and analytics.
Lead adoption strategies for new practices across crops and regions.
Own metrics for acceleration value and report on cycle time, genetic gain, cost, quality, and adoption.
