Qualifications

• PhD or MS in Plant or Animal Breeding, Quantitative or Statistical Genetics, Data Science, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of advanced breeding technologies, analytics, genomics, and quantitative genetics with a track record of driving innovation into pipelines.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and solve complex problems across regions and functions.
• Demonstrated leadership aligned with Bayer Values (Collaboration, Creativity, Leadership).

Responsibilities

• Define the vision and multi-year strategy for research acceleration in the early breeding pipeline.
• Set standards for hypothesis-driven design and decision-ready evidence to enable rapid iteration.
• Shape enabling-technology agenda across accelerated breeding, genomics, phenotyping, analytics, and automation.
• Lead adoption strategies and change management across crops and regions at scale.
• Own the impact narrative and metrics for cycle time, genetic gain, cost, and adoption.
