Job summary

Bayer seeks a Research and Impact Acceleration Lead to define and drive the vision, strategy, and multi-year plan for accelerating research in the early breeding pipeline. You will coordinate improvements in speed, evidence quality, and iteration capacity to deliver faster, higher-quality product outcomes for growers and customers worldwide.

You will partner across Capability Center and with global teams, contributing to strategic directions in Genomics, Breeding, and R&D, while guiding adoption

Qualifications

• PhD or MS in Plant or Animal Breeding, Quantitative or Statistical Genetics, Data Science or related field
• Strong knowledge of advanced breeding technologies, analytics, genomics, and/or quantitative genetics with proven impact
• Strong ability to collaborate across regions and functions
• Demonstrated VACC leadership attributes aligned with Bayer values

Responsibilities

• Define the vision and multi-year strategy for research acceleration across the early breeding pipeline.
• Shape the enabling-technology agenda across accelerated breeding, genomics, phenotyping, predictive analytics, automation, and digital workflows.
• Lead the adoption strategy and governance to embed new practices across crops and regions at scale.
• Own the impact narrative and metrics for acceleration and align decisions with long-range planning.
• Engage with universities to guide future talent development and strengthen Bayer as a strategic talent destination.
