Job summary

Bayer seeks an experienced leader to define and drive the vision, strategy, and multi-year plan for accelerating research and impact in the early breeding pipeline. Qualifications

PhD in Plant or Animal Breeding, Quantitative or Statistical Genetics, Data Science, or related field.
Strong knowledge of advanced breeding technologies, analytics, genomics, or quantitative genetics.
Ability to collaborate across regions and functions to solve complex problems.

Responsibilities

Define the vision and multi-year strategy for research acceleration across the early breeding pipeline.
Set standards for hypothesis-driven design and decision-ready evidence.
Shape technology agenda across accelerated breeding, genomics, phenotyping, and digital workflows.
Lead adoption strategy and embed new practices across crops and regions at scale.
Define metrics for acceleration value and report on cycle time and genetic gain.
