Job summary

Bayer is seeking a Research and Impact Acceleration Lead to shape the vision, strategy, and multi-year plan for accelerating research in the early breeding pipeline. You will drive faster learning, higher quality evidence, and scalable adoption across regions and crops.

You will partner with Capability Center teams, lead cross-functional initiatives, and influence senior stakeholders to translate scientific innovations into faster product delivery for growers and customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• PhD or MS in Plant/Animal Breeding, Quantitative or Statistical Genetics, Data Science, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of advanced breeding technologies, analytics, genomics, and/or quantitative genetics.
• Ability to collaborate across regions and functions.
• Ability to embrace and role-model VACC leadership attributes, aligned with Bayer's Values, Ambition, Collaboration, and Creativity.

Responsibilities

• Define the vision and multi-year strategy for research acceleration across the early breeding pipeline.
• Establish standards for hypothesis-driven design and decision-ready evidence for rapid iteration.
• Shape enabling-technology agenda across accelerated breeding, genomics, phenotyping, and predictive analytics.
• Lead the adoption strategy to embed new practices across crops and regions at scale.
• Own the impact narrative and metrics for acceleration, guiding investments and planning.
• Provide technical and strategic input to the Capability Center and key focus areas.
• Contribute to Global Breeding strategies and the Long-Range Plan.
• Engage with universities to attract future talent to Bayer.
• Align with HS&E, Compliance, DEI and Human Rights across the Capability Hub.
