Qualifications

• PhD or MS in Plant/Animal Breeding, Quantitative/Statistical Genetics, Data Science, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of advanced breeding technologies and analytics, genomics, and quantitative genetics.
• Proven ability to collaborate across regions and functions.
• Demonstrated leadership aligned with Bayer's values and capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Define the vision and multi-year strategy for research acceleration across the early breeding pipeline.
• Establish standards for hypothesis-driven design, decision-ready evidence, and disciplined scale decisions.
• Shape enabling-technology agenda across accelerated breeding, genomics, phenotyping, predictive analytics, and digital workflows.
• Lead the adoption strategy and change management to embed new practices across crops and regions.
