Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to lead desktop and mobile testing for our cross-platform applications. You will own test automation, contribute to manual testing when needed, and drive reliability across releases.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in QA, strong automation skills with Playwright and WebdriverIO, plus experience with Electron/React Native apps and AI QA tools. Remote work options are available.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation with hands-on manual and exploratory testing.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on with Playwright for desktop or web.
• WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile testing.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps on real devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and critically evaluating outputs.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
