Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own automated and manual testing for desktop and mobile apps in a globally distributed, remote team. You will build robust automation, integrate tests into CI/CD, and collaborate with developers to improve testability and acceptance criteria.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of QA, hands-on testing, and experience with Playwright and WebdriverIO/Appium across Electron/React Native environments.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation with hands-on manual and exploratory testing.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for desktop or web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
