Job summary

Tether is hiring an Automation QA Engineer to own both automated and manual testing for desktop and mobile apps. You will build robust test suites, integrate them into CI/CD, and work with developers to improve testability and acceptance criteria.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in QA automation, strong Playwright and WebdriverIO/Appium skills, and experience testing Electron/React Native apps on real devices. AI QA tools experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation, plus hands-on manual and exploratory testing experience.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for desktop or web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real iOS and Android devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and critically reviewing their output; testing AI-powered apps is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
