Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer with strong automation skills and ownership of manual testing for our desktop and mobile apps. You will build and maintain test automation for critical user flows and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.

You will work with developers and product teams on testability, perform functional, exploratory, and regression testing, and evaluate AI QA tools to boost coverage. This is a remote, globally distributed role.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation and hands-on testing.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for desktop/web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real devices.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
