Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own desktop and mobile testing, combining automation with hands-on manual and exploratory testing. You will build and maintain test suites, integrate them into CI/CD pipelines, and work with developers to improve testability and acceptance criteria.

Applicants should have 4+ years in QA automation, experience with Playwright, WebdriverIO, Appium, and GitHub Actions, and familiarity with Electron and React Native apps on real devices.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation, plus hands-on manual and exploratory testing experience.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for desktop or web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real iOS and Android devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and testing AI-powered applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
