Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own both automation and manual testing for desktop and mobile applications. You will build and maintain robust test automation, integrate tests into CI/CD, and ensure fast, reliable quality checks across platforms.

The role requires hands-on experience in Playwright and WebdriverIO/Appium, plus familiarity with Electron/React Native apps and real devices. Strong AI QA capabilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation with hands-on manual and exploratory testing.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on with Playwright for desktop/web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including real devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and evaluating their outputs; testing AI-powered apps is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
