Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer with strong automation skills and manual testing ownership for desktop and mobile apps. You will build and maintain automation, integrate tests into CI/CD, and investigate failures across real user scenarios.

Candidates should have 4+ years in QA automation, hands-on testing, and experience with Playwright, WebdriverIO, Appium, and CI/CD pipelines. AI tools in QA are a plus; remote, global teams across fintech projects welcome.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in QA automation.
• 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance and automated testing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Mindset focused on holistic quality.
• Experience with Gherkin for behavior-driven development.
• Experience with prompt engineering and harness engineering.
• Experience building Agentic skills focused on Quality Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Build regression automation scripts for app functionality.
• Manually test software for validation against criteria.
• Execute smoke, regression, integration, and performance tests.
• Record detailed documentation of feature behavior.
• Log pass/fail criteria and correlate to bugs.
• Identify risks to product quality and process.
• Collaborate with product to ensure quality across SDLC.
• Collaborate with customer-facing teams to incorporate feedback.
• Participate in refinement and effort estimation.
• Use GitHub to maintain automation repositories and scripts.
• Participate in On-Call rotation.
