Job summary

HoopStars is a Toronto-based youth basketball business seeking a hands-on General Manager to lead marketing, ecommerce and profitable growth. You will run HoopStars and help build the parent Community Sports Partners marketing team across brands, with LATAM remote work and Toronto-hour collaboration.

You will own budgets, performance, and the customer experience, while recruiting and guiding a high-performing remote team. Equity opportunities may be available.

Qualifications

• Proven results in paid acquisition, conversion and retention.
• Commercial responsibility beyond a marketing budget: pricing, margins, staffing, forecasts or profitability.
• Experience hiring and managing marketers, creatives, agencies or specialists.
• Ability to translate ecommerce methods into a service business with delivery capacity.
• Comfort doing practical work while developing people and systems.
• Strong professional English and effective remote leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own HoopStars business plan, budget, revenue, profitability and cash forecasts; lead sales and operations.
• Drive digital growth: paid search, social, landing pages, enrollment funnels, pricing and retention.
• Build the parent marketing team: recruit specialists, manage contractors or agencies.
• Establish commercial discipline: connect campaign performance to paying customers and profits.
• Stay close to execution: inspect accounts, diagnose funnels and lead improvements with the team.
• Audit marketing across brands, establish reporting, and hire priorities within authority.
