Job summary

HoopStars is a Toronto-based youth basketball business seeking a hands-on General Manager to lead marketing, ecommerce growth, and profitability. You will split time between running HoopStars and building the parent company Community Sports Partners' marketing team across brands.

Remote from LATAM with Toronto hours; future relocation to US/Canada possible. You should turn advertising into customers, boost conversion, drive repeat purchases, and manage budgets and performance.

Qualifications

• Proven results in paid acquisition, conversion, and retention.
• Commercial responsibility beyond a marketing budget: pricing, margins, staffing, forecasts or profitability.
• Experience hiring and managing marketers, creatives, agencies or specialists.
• Ability to translate ecommerce methods into a service business with delivery capacity and customer commitments.
• Comfort doing practical work while developing people and systems.

Responsibilities

• Run HoopStars: own business plan, budget, revenue, profitability and cash forecasts; lead sales and ops.
• Drive digital growth: improve paid search/social, landing pages, funnels, pricing and offers.
• Build the parent marketing team: define structure, recruit specialists, manage priorities.
• Establish commercial discipline: connect campaigns to paying customers and profits, allocate investment with reporting.
• Stay close to execution: inspect accounts, diagnose funnel issues, launch improvements with a team.
