Job summary

Convoy Finance is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to take ownership of client accounting across a growing portfolio. You’ll work with international clients, founders and senior finance professionals to ensure accurate, timely delivery and insightful financial guidance.

This hands-on leadership role combines close involvement with accounting work and mentoring a team, with opportunities to advise on processes, controls and strategic finance questions for SaaS and fintech clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience with full-cycle accounting, month-end close and financial reporting.
• Big Four background required.
• Strong English communication; role is 100% in English.
• Experience mentoring junior accountants and client-facing work.
• Overlap with Eastern Time; availability helpful.

Responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of client accounts and ensure timely delivery of accounting work.
• Oversee full-cycle accounting and month-end close.
• Review work for quality, accuracy and consistency.
• Prepare financial statements and management reports.
• Work with founders, CFOs and senior finance teams to answer questions.
• Manage client deadlines and priorities, and communicate needs.
• Support year-end compilations, audits, reviews and tax work.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and controls.
• Coach and support junior accounting staff.
• Take ownership of complex accounting issues and guide the team.
• Support advisory and finance projects as they arise.
• Build strong client relationships and be a trusted contact.
