Job summary

Bayer seeks a Research and Impact Acceleration Lead to define and lead the vision, strategy and multi-year plan for accelerating research across the early breeding pipeline, turning speed of learning into a durable competitive edge for growers and customers worldwide.

As part of the Capability Center, you will guide enabling-technology, adoption, and metrics, contributing to the Long-Range Plan and engaging with universities to attract future talent while aligning with HS&E, DEI and compliance

Qualifications

PhD or MS in Plant/Animal Breeding, Quantitative or Statistical Genetics, Data Science or related field.
Strong knowledge of advanced breeding technologies, analytics, genomics, or quantitative genetics.
Ability to collaborate across regions and functions and influence leadership.

Responsibilities

Define vision and multi-year strategy for research acceleration in early breeding.
Set standards for hypothesis-driven design and decision-ready evidence.
Shape enabling technologies across genomics, phenotyping, analytics, and automation.
Lead adoption strategies and change management across crops and regions.
Own impact metrics for cycle time, genetic gain, cost and adoption.
Engage with universities to source talent and raise Bayer's profile.
Contribute to Global Breeding strategies and Long-Range Plan.
