Job summary

Bayer is seeking a Research and Impact Acceleration Lead to define and drive the vision for accelerating research in the early breeding pipeline. You will align with the Capability Center and Head of Product Design to translate speed of learning into faster, higher-quality product delivery for growers worldwide.

In this role you will shape technology agendas, govern standards, and coach collaborations with universities and global teams while embedding ethical practices and strong HS&E

Qualifications

• PhD or MS in Plant or Animal Breeding, Quantitative or Statistical Genetics, Data Science, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of breeding technologies, analytics, genomics, and quantitative genetics.
• Proven ability to collaborate across regions and functions.
• Demonstrated alignment with Bayer Values and leadership expectations.

Responsibilities

• Define the vision and multi-year strategy for research acceleration in early breeding pipelines.
• Set standards for hypothesis-driven design and evidence-informed decisions.
• Shape enabling technology agenda across accelerated breeding, genomics, and analytics.
• Lead adoption strategies, governance, and change management across crops and regions.
• Own the impact narrative and metrics for cycle time, genetic gain, and adoption.
