Job summary

Bayer is seeking a Research and Impact Acceleration Lead to define the vision, strategy, and multi-year plan for accelerating research within the early breeding pipeline. You will drive faster learning, improve evidence quality, and create a durable competitive advantage that translates into faster, higher-quality product delivery for growers and customers worldwide.

Qualifications

PhD or MS in Plant or Animal Breeding, Quantitative or Statistical Genetics, Data Science, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of advanced breeding technologies, analytics, genomics, and/or quantitative genetics.
Proven ability to collaborate and build cross-functional partnerships across regions and functions.
Demonstrated leadership aligned with Bayer Values and capabilities.

Responsibilities

Define the vision and multi-year strategy for research acceleration in the early breeding pipeline.
Set standards for hypothesis-driven design and decision-ready evidence to enable rapid iteration.
Shape enabling-technology agenda across accelerated breeding, genomics, phenotyping, and predictive analytics.
Lead adoption strategies and governance for new practices across crops and regions.
Define and report on acceleration value through cycle time, genetic gain, and cost metrics.
