Bayer is seeking a Research and Impact Acceleration Lead to define and drive the multi-year vision for accelerating research in the early breeding pipeline. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, set standards for evidence, and steer technology investments across genomics, phenotyping, and digital workflows.

You will lead adoption, measure impact, and align with global strategic goals while engaging universities to attract talent and strengthen Bayer's Crop Science capabilities worldwide.

Qualifikationen

• PhD degree or MS degree in Plant or Animal Breeding, Quantitative or Statistical Genetics, Data Science, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of advanced breeding technologies, advanced analytics and information technologies, genomics, and/or quantitative genetics.
• Strong ability to collaborate and build cross-functional partnerships to solve complex business and technical problems across regions and functions.
• Demonstrated ability to embrace and role-model VACC leadership attributes, aligned with Bayer's Values, Ambition, Collaboration, and Creativity expectations, within the Capability Center and with peers and colleagues across Bayer Crop Science.

Aufgaben

• Define the vision and multi-year strategy for research acceleration across the early breeding pipeline.
• Establish how the organization formulates and answers research questions with standards for hypothesis-driven design and evidence.
• Shape the enabling-technology agenda across accelerated breeding, genomics, phenotyping, analytics, and digital workflows.
• Lead the adoption strategy to embed new practices across crops and regions at scale.
• Own the impact narrative and metrics for cycle time, genetic gain, cost, quality, and adoption.
• Provide technical and product knowledge to the Capability Center and global focus areas.
• Lead and contribute to Global Breeding strategies and the Long-Range Plan.
• Engage with universities to attract future talent and showcase Bayer as a strategic destination.
• Participate in leadership units across commercial and product supply teams to connect research acceleration with downstream decisions.
• Ensure HS&E, Compliance, DEI, and Human Rights are prioritized in the Capability Hub.
