Job summary

Bayer is seeking a Research and Impact Acceleration Lead to define and drive the vision, strategy, and multi-year plan for accelerating research and impact across the early breeding pipeline. You will lead improvements in learning speed, evidence quality and iteration capacity to deliver faster, higher-quality products for growers and customers worldwide.

You will collaborate with capability centers and global teams, contribute to long-range plans, and engage with universities to attract talent

Qualifications

• PhD or MS in Plant/Animal Breeding, Quantitative or Statistical Genetics, Data Science or related field.
• Strong knowledge of advanced breeding technologies, analytics, genomics, and quantitative genetics.
• Ability to collaborate and build cross-functional partnerships across regions and functions.
• Embraces VACC leadership attributes (Values, Ambition, Collaboration, Creativity).

Responsibilities

• Define vision and multi-year strategy for research acceleration in the early breeding pipeline.
• Set standards for hypothesis-driven design and decision-ready evidence.
• Shape enabling-technology agenda across breeding, genomics, phenotyping, analytics, automation, and digital workflows.
• Lead adoption strategies and change management to embed new practices across crops and regions.
• Own impact metrics and report on cycle time, genetic gain, cost, quality and adoption.
