AgileEngine is seeking a hands-on Database Administrator to manage, secure, and tune high-availability production databases. You’ll work closely with engineering teams on performance, security, and reliability, focusing on database administration rather than data engineering.

The role demands 3–4 years of relevant DBA experience and strong skills in SQL Server, Aurora PostgreSQL, AWS RDS, Terraform, and Kafka.

Formación

• 3–4 years of hands-on DBA experience.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL.
• Experience with AWS RDS and Aurora.
• Programming experience with PowerShell or Python.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Experience with Kafka (Confluent Kafka).
• Experience with performance tuning, high availability, and disaster recovery.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain high availability of production database systems and keep them performing well.
• Plan for and carry out disaster recovery, ensuring zero data loss in case of disaster.
• Keep database systems secure, including access control and security protocols.
• Analyze and tune database performance and diagnose issues.
• Collaborate with engineers on design, performance tuning, and support.
• Operate hands-on in a highly technical environment managing data systems.
• Stay composed under pressure in stressful situations.
