AgileEngine is seeking a Database Administrator to manage, secure, and tune high-availability production databases. You will work closely with engineering teams on performance, security, and reliability in a hands-on role.

The position requires 3–4 years of DBA experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL, AWS RDS/Aurora, and PowerShell or Python, plus Terraform and Kafka expertise. Upper-intermediate English is expected.

• 3–4 years of hands-on DBA experience.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL.
• AWS RDS and Aurora experience.
• PowerShell or Python programming.
• Terraform IaC experience.
• Kafka (Confluent Kafka) administration.
• Performance analysis and tuning.
• Experience with high-availability production systems.
• Disaster recovery experience.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain high availability of production database systems and keep them performing well.
• Plan for and carry out disaster recovery, ensuring zero data loss in case of disaster.
• Keep database systems secure, including access control, and adhere to security protocols.
• Analyze and tune database performance, and diagnose difficult performance issues.
• Work closely with engineers on system design, performance tuning and technical support.
• Operate hands-on in an extremely technical environment, administering the data systems that support the website.
• Stay composed under pressure and navigate extremely stressful situations.
