AgileEngine is seeking a seasoned Database Administrator to manage, secure, and tune high-availability production databases, collaborating with engineering teams. This hands-on role focuses on database administration, performance, security, and reliability—not data engineering.

Requirements include 3–4 years of hands-on DBA experience, SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL, PowerShell or Python, Terraform, Confluent Kafka, AWS RDS/Aurora, and upper-intermediate English.

Formación

• 3–4 years of hands-on DBA experience.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL.
• AWS, RDS and Aurora experience.
• Programming with PowerShell or Python.
• Terraform for IaC.
• Kafka (Confluent Kafka) administration.
• Performance analysis and tuning.
• High availability and disaster recovery.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain high availability of production database systems and keep them performing well.
• Plan for and carry out disaster recovery, ensuring zero data loss in case of disaster.
• Keep database systems secure, including access control, and adhere to security protocols.
• Analyze and tune database performance, and diagnose difficult performance issues.
• Work closely with engineers on system design, performance tuning and technical support.
• Operate hands-on in an extremely technical environment, administering the data systems that support the website.
• Stay composed under pressure and navigate extremely stressful situations.
