AgileEngine is seeking a mid-level Database Administrator to manage high-availability production databases, focusing on performance, security, and reliability. You will work closely with engineering teams in a hands-on role that emphasizes database administration rather than data engineering.

Required are 3–4 years of hands-on DBA experience, expertise in MS SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL, and AWS RDS/Aurora.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of hands-on DBA experience.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL.
• Experience with AWS RDS and Aurora.
• Scripting with PowerShell or Python.
• IaC tooling with Terraform.
• Kafka administration and troubleshooting (Confluent).
• Strong performance analysis and tuning.
• Experience working with engineering teams and deadlines.
• Experience maintaining high-availability production systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high availability of production databases and ensure performance.
• Plan and execute disaster recovery with zero data loss.
• Manage security, access controls, and compliance.
• Analyze and tune database performance and diagnose issues.
• Collaborate with engineers on design, tuning, and support.
• Hands-on administration of critical data systems supporting the website.
• Stay composed under pressure in a technical environment.
