AgileEngine is seeking a Database Administrator to manage, secure, and tune high-availability production databases, collaborating with engineering teams. This hands-on role emphasizes database administration, performance, security, and reliability, not Data Engineering.

The ideal candidate has 3–4 years of hands-on DBA experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL, AWS RDS/Aurora, Terraform, Kafka, and programming in PowerShell or Python, plus upper-intermediate English.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of hands-on DBA experience.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL.
• Experience with AWS, especially RDS and Aurora.
• Programming with PowerShell or Python.
• Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform.
• Experience with Kafka (Confluent Kafka).
• Strong performance analysis and tuning skills.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

Responsabilités

• Maintain high availability of production database systems.
• Plan for disaster recovery with zero data loss.
• Secure databases, manage access control, and enforce security protocols.
• Analyze and tune database performance; diagnose issues.
• Collaborate with engineers on design reviews and support.
• Be hands-on in a highly technical environment managing data systems.
