AgileEngine is seeking a Database Administrator to manage, secure, and tune high-availability production databases in a hands-on role. You will collaborate with engineering teams on design, performance, and reliability while ensuring data integrity and security.

The position requires 3–4 years of hands-on DBA experience with SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL, plus Terraform, Kafka, and AWS RDS experience. You will work in a highly technical environment with strong emphasis on performance tuning,

• 3–4 years of hands-on DBA experience.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL.
• AWS, particularly RDS and Aurora.
• Programming with PowerShell or Python.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform.
• Kafka (Confluent Kafka) administration and troubleshooting.
• Extensive performance analysis and tuning experience.
• Experience with high-availability production systems and disaster recovery.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain high availability of production database systems and keep them performing well.
• Plan for and carry out disaster recovery with zero data loss.
• Keep database systems secure, including access control and security protocols.
• Analyze and tune database performance and diagnose difficult issues.
• Collaborate with engineers on system design, performance tuning, and support.
• Operate hands-on in a technical environment, administering data systems for the website.
• Stay composed under pressure in stressful situations.
