AgileEngine is seeking a hands-on Database Administrator to manage high-availability production databases, focusing on performance, security, and reliability. You will work closely with engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 3–4 years of hands-on DBA experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL, plus AWS RDS/Aurora, Terraform, and Kafka. Upper-intermediate English is required.

Formación

• 3–4 years of hands-on DBA experience.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL.
• Experience with AWS, especially RDS and Aurora.
• Programming with PowerShell or Python.
• IaC tools such as Terraform.
• Kafka (Confluent Kafka) administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience with performance analysis and tuning.
• Experience working with engineering teams on requirements and tight deadlines.
• Experience administering high-availability production systems.
• Experience performing disaster recoveries.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain high availability of production database systems and keep them performing well.
• Plan for and carry out disaster recovery, ensuring zero data loss in case of disaster.
• Keep database systems secure, including access control, and adhere to security protocols.
• Analyze and tune database performance, and diagnose difficult performance issues.
• Work closely with engineers on system design, performance tuning and technical support.
• Operate hands-on in an extremely technical environment, administering the data systems that support the website.
• Stay composed under pressure and navigate extremely stressful situations.
