Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Cloud Platform Technical Lead to own the reliability and orchestration of an enterprise data platform in a regulated healthcare environment. You will guide AWS/EKS operations, Argo Workflows, and data pipelines, shaping platform engineering priorities while mentoring engineers and coordinating cross‑functional teams.

The role requires 6+ years in cloud/platform/SRE, deep AWS and Kubernetes expertise, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in Cloud/Platform/SRE roles.
• Deep hands-on expertise with AWS production environments including security, networking, and monitoring.
• Advanced experience with Kubernetes and Amazon EKS, including workloads, observability, and upgrades.
• Hands-on experience with Argo Workflows or equivalent orchestration for production data workloads.
• Strong IaC experience (Terraform) and CI/CD, release automation, and rollback practices.
• Experience designing and operating observability, logging, monitoring, alerting, and incident routing.
• Proven ability to lead major incidents and cross-functional troubleshooting across infra, data pipelines, and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction and end-to-end reliability of the managed Data Platform across AWS, EKS, Argo, Snowflake, S3, and Tableau.
• Lead the transition into managed services with platform discovery, risk mapping, and knowledge transfer.
• Define cloud architecture principles, IaC standards, CI/CD, and release practices for reliability.
• Provide technical leadership for AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes, Argo, and deployment automation.
• Translate business needs into technical requirements and a prioritized backlog.
• Guide cross‑platform decisions on Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, and data lake operations.
• Lead cross‑platform troubleshooting and L3 escalation during incidents.
• Direct major incident response including RCA, and preventive actions.
• Ensure changes include validation, rollback planning, traceability, and coordination across components.
• Define and monitor reliability metrics like availability, data freshness, and incident patterns.
• Lead automation, observability, auto-remediation, and platform resilience improvements.
• Collaborate with Security, Governance, Analytics, IT for least‑privilege access and auditability.
• Review designs, document tradeoffs, and ensure secure and scalable solutions within managed services.
• Mentor engineers and improve team practices across a distributed team.
• Maintain alignment across LatAm and India coverage windows with clear handoffs.
• Participate in senior escalation and on-call model for critical incidents.
