Job summary

AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Cloud Platform Technical Lead to own the reliability and orchestration of an enterprise data platform in a regulated healthcare environment.

You will lead cloud architecture, IaC, CI/CD practices, and platform reliability across AWS, EKS, Argo, Snowflake, and data pipelines. The role requires 6+ years in cloud engineering or SRE, deep AWS and Kubernetes expertise, and strong leadership across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps or SRE.
• Deep hands-on experience with AWS production environments including architecture, security, networking, access management, monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Advanced experience with Kubernetes and Amazon EKS including workload deployment, troubleshooting, observability, scaling, upgrades, access, and reliability.
• Hands-on experience operating Argo Workflows or comparable orchestration for production data workloads.
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform, and with CI/CD, release automation, and rollback practices.
• Strong experience designing and operating observability, logging, monitoring, alerting, and incident-routing for distributed production platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to lead major incidents and cross-functional troubleshooting.
• Experience operating production platforms with SLAs, escalation paths, runbooks and on-call responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of modern data platforms (Snowflake, S3 data lakes, SQL, dbt, Fivetran or HVR) and data pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python, Shell, Bash or similar for automation.
• Ability to communicate tradeoffs, estimate work, and guide teams through change.
• Mentoring engineers and improving engineering processes across a distributed team.
• Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills; English fluency.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction and end-to-end reliability of the managed Data Platform across AWS, EKS, Kubernetes, Argo Workflows, Snowflake and data pipelines.
• Lead the transition into managed services with platform discovery, risk mapping and readiness validation.
• Define and evolve cloud architecture principles, IaC standards, CI/CD and release practices, observability patterns, and platform priorities.
• Provide technical leadership for AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, Argo, deployment automation, access management, capacity and reliability.
• Translate business and security needs into technical requirements and a prioritized backlog.
• Guide cross-platform decisions involving Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, S3 data lake and analytics dependencies.
• Lead complex cross-platform troubleshooting and L3 escalation during incidents.
• Direct technical response during major incidents including RCA and preventive actions.
• Ensure changes/releases include technical reviews, dependency analysis, rollback planning and traceability.
• Define and monitor reliability indicators such as availability, data freshness, and incident patterns.
• Drive improvements in automation, observability, auto-remediation, and cloud cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with Security, Governance, Analytics, IT for least-privilege access and auditability.
• Review designs and ensure secure, scalable solutions within managed-service model.
• Mentor engineers and foster distributed-team capability.
• Align LatAm and India coverage with clear ownership and handoffs.
• Participate in senior escalation and on-call model for critical incidents.
