AgileEngine is seeking a Cloud Platform Technical Lead to own the reliability and orchestration of an enterprise data platform in a regulated healthcare environment. You will guide AWS/EKS operations, Argo Workflows, Snowflake, and data ingestion pipelines, ensuring high availability and compliant practices.

The role requires 6+ years in cloud engineering/SRE, strong Terraform and IaC experience, and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps or SRE.
• Deep hands-on expertise with AWS production environments including security, networking, access management, monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Advanced experience with Kubernetes and Amazon EKS including deployment, troubleshooting, observability and reliability.
• Hands-on experience operating Argo Workflows or similar orchestration for production data workloads.
• Strong Infra as Code experience, preferably Terraform, with CI/CD, release automation and rollback practices.
• Experience designing and operating observability, logging, monitoring, alerting, and incident routing for distributed platforms.
• Ability to lead major incidents and cross-functional troubleshooting across infra, apps, data pipelines and analytics.
• Experience with SLAs, runbooks, change controls, release processes and on-call responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of Snowflake, S3 data lakes, SQL, dbt, and managed ingestion tools (Fivetran or HVR).
• Proficiency in Python, Shell, Bash for automation and tooling.
• Excellent stakeholder management and English communication skills.
• Availability to work within LatAm service window (9:00–18:00 ET).

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction and end-to-end reliability of the managed Data Platform across AWS, EKS, Kubernetes, Argo, Snowflake, S3, Fivetran and Tableau.
• Lead the transition into managed services with discovery, risk mapping, and knowledge transfer.
• Establish cloud architecture principles, IaC standards, CI/CD, observability and operational controls.
• Provide leadership for AWS, Kubernetes, Argo, deployment automation, access management and capacity.
• Translate business and security needs into actionable technical plans and backlogs.
• Guide cross-platform decisions involving Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, and data pipelines.
• Lead cross-platform troubleshooting and L3 escalation during incidents.
• Direct major incidents with impact assessment, recovery, and post-incident reviews.
• Ensure changes/releases include dependency analysis, validation and rollback planning.
• Define and monitor reliability indicators: uptime, ingestion, data freshness, and MTTR.
• Lead automation, observability, auto-remediation, and cost-efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with Security, Governance, IT and Analytics for least-privilege access and auditability.
• Mentor engineers and improve distributed-team practices.
• Maintain alignment across LatAm and India coverage windows.
• Support on-call rotations and senior escalation processes.
