Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a DevOps and Data Engineer to join the Data Platform team in Cordoba, Argentina. This hybrid role focuses on owning reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities, building and maintaining AWS-first cloud infrastructure, CI/CD tooling, and DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in DevOps/Platform/SRE with data engineering work.
• Expertise with AWS core services (S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Secrets Manager, CloudFormation/CDK).
• Hands-on with AWS data services (Glue, Athena, S3 lifecycle).
• Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform and/or AWS CDK).
• Strong CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration (ECS/EKS/Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL jobs and related data infra.
• Build and manage AWS cloud infrastructure using IaC (Terraform / CDK).
• Own observability stack: metrics, logs, alerts (CloudWatch, Datadog).
• Manage container and compute infra for data ingestion microservices.
• Develop AWS Glue ETL jobs (PySpark) for large-scale data ingestion and transformation.
• Collaborate with data teams to deliver scalable infrastructure.
