Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team in a hybrid role based in Córdoba, Argentina. You will own reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics, building cloud infrastructure (AWS-first) and CI/CD pipelines to empower data teams.

Responsibilities include designing CI/CD for Glue ETL jobs, managing Terraform/AWS CDK infrastructure, owning observability, and guiding incident response.

Formación

• 5+ years in DevOps, platform engineering or SRE.
• 2+ years data engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of AWS core services and data services.

Responsabilidades

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment and promotion of AWS Glue ETL jobs and related data infra.
• Build and manage AWS infrastructure with Terraform/AWS CDK (S3, IAM, Glue, Athena).
• Own observability stack: metrics, logs and alerts for SLA compliance and incident response.
• Develop DataOps self-service tooling, pipeline templates, and shared libraries.
• Manage container and compute infra (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda).
• Design and operate workflow orchestration (MWAA / Airflow / Step Functions).
• Maintain Glue ETL jobs (PySpark) for large-scale ingestion and transformation.
• Drive security best practices across data platform (Secrets Manager, IAM).
• Collaborate with data engineers/scientists/security to translate requirements into scalable infra solutions.
• Lead incident response for data platform outages and post-mortems.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in code/design reviews.
