Proofpoint in Cordoba, Argentina is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join the Data Platform team. This hybrid role powers data pipelines, cloud infrastructure (AWS-first), and CI/CD tooling to ship reliable data products.

You’ll work at the intersection of platform engineering and data infrastructure, automating toil and improving developer experience. You’ll own the design and operation of data pipelines using AWS Glue, Athena, and S3, while contributing to security and scalability

Competenze

• 5+ years in DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE with data eng experience.
• Deep expertise with AWS core services (S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS).
• Hands-on IaC: Terraform and/or AWS CDK for production cloud environments.
• Strong CI/CD experience and pipelines in GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent.
• Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, ECS/EKS, Kubernetes).
• Observability: metrics, logs, tracing, alerts for data/platform services.

Mansioni

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL and Athena views.
• Build and manage AWS infrastructure using IaC (Terraform/CDK).
• Own observability stack: metrics, logs, alerts to ensure SLA compliance.
• Develop DataOps self-service tooling and reusable pipeline templates.
• Manage container/compute infra (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda) for data services.
• Operate workflow orchestration (MWAA/Airflow, Step Functions) with reliability hardening.
• Build and maintain AWS Glue ETL jobs (PySpark) for large-scale ingestion.
• Drive security best practices: Secrets, least-privilege IAM, network segmentation.
• Collaborate across teams to translate requirements into scalable infra solutions.
• Lead incident response for data platform outages and post-mortems.
• Mentor engineers on DevOps/data engineering practices.
