Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team in Córdoba, Argentina. This hybrid role focuses on reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities.

You will build and maintain AWS-first cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tooling to enable data engineers to ship high-quality data products faster and safely. You will own the observability stack, manage container/compute infrastructure, and develop AWS Glue ETL jobs

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE with data engineering work.
• Expertise with AWS core services (S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS).
• Hands-on experience with AWS data services: Glue, Athena, S3 lifecycle and encryption.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and promotion of data infrastructure.
• Build and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS using IaC (Terraform and/or CDK).
• Own the observability stack for data pipelines with metrics, logs, and alerts.
• Manage container and compute infrastructure (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda) for data ingests and workers.
• Build and maintain AWS Glue ETL jobs for large-scale data ingestion/transformation.
• Collaborate with data engineers/scientists and security teams to translate requirements into scalable infrastructure.
