Proofpoint in Córdoba, Argentina, is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join the Data Platform team. Hybrid role focusing on reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities.

You will build cloud infrastructure (AWS-first), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tooling to enable data teams to ship data products safely and quickly. You will design and operate data pipelines with Glue, Athena, and S3, establishing an operational mindset for data engineering.

Competenze

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or site reliability engineering, with hands-on data engineering exposure.
• Deep expertise with AWS core services: S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Secrets Manager, and CloudFormation/CDK.
• Hands-on experience with AWS data services: Glue, Athena, and S3 lifecycle management.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools – Terraform and/or AWS CDK.
• Strong CI/CD experience: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent.
• Experience with container technologies (Docker) and orchestration (ECS/EKS, Kubernetes).
• Proven ability to design observability systems (metrics, logging, tracing, alerting) for data and platform services.

Mansioni

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and promotion of AWS Glue ETL jobs and Athena views.
• Build and manage AWS infrastructure using IaC (Terraform and/or CDK) including S3, IAM, Glue, Athena, and networking.
• Own the observability stack: metrics, logs, alerts to ensure SLA compliance and quick incident response.
• Develop DataOps tooling and reusable templates to accelerate production pipelines.
• Manage container and compute infrastructure (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda) for data ingestion services.
• Operate workflow orchestration environments (MWAA/Airflow, Step Functions) including upgrades and scaling.
• Lead incident response for data platform outages and mentor junior engineers.
