Job Description

What you'll be doing:

• -Ensure food safety standards and quality control guidelines are effectively implemented and followed across Distribution Centre (DC) operations.
  - Perform on-site inspections of inbound, storage, and outbound processes to ensure compliance with operational guidelines and standards.
  - Monitor compliance with food safety policies, procedures, regulations, and standards (HACCP/FSSC 22000, and other relevant certifications)
  - Conduct routine inspections and audits to verify adherence to food handling processes, storage conditions, and quality control procedures.
  - Collaborate with regulatory authorities to manage product registrations and approvals in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
  - Organize and deliver food safety trainings and awareness programs for food handlers as per the training plan.
  - Perform regular product sampling and testing to confirm compliance with safety and quality standards.
  - Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues, implementing corrective actions to address any discrepancies in product quality or processes.
  - Maintain comprehensive records of inspections, corrective actions, and quality control reports to ensure full traceability and regulatory compliance.
  - Ensure all quality control documentation is continuously updated and fully aligned with relevant regulatory requirements and certifications.
  - Stay informed on regulatory changes and industry best practices to ensure compliance and ongoing application of best practices in food quality and safety.
  - Support the preparation and facilitation of audits conducted by external regulatory bodies and certification organizations.
  - Provide continuous feedback and actionable recommendations to enhance food quality, safety, and operational efficiency within the Distribution Centre.
  - Foster strong collaboration with warehouse, logistics, and central planning teams to ensure seamless integration of quality control processes within overall distribution operations.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Experience in the manufacturing or pharmaceutical industries is advantageous for understanding specific quality challenges.
• Professional certifications such as Six Sigma Green Belt or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) are highly preferred.
• Bilingual candidates are preferred, particularly in English and Spanish, to support diverse teams and communication.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in quality management software and statistical analysis tools.
• Excellent leadership abilities, capable of motivating and guiding a team towards achieving quality goals.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey complex quality concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
• Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to spot inconsistencies and suggest actionable solutions.
• Physical stamina may be required for regular site inspections and audits, including standing for extended periods.
