A leading company in autonomous technology located in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Manager to lead the certification processes for autonomous vehicle technologies. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, along with at least 5 years of experience in regulatory compliance. - Act as the primary liaison with certification authorities regulatory agencies and industry standards organizations.
- Monitor changes in regulations and standards related to autonomous systems and update internal processes accordingly.
- Collaborate with engineering legal and product teams to integrate certification requirements into the development lifecycle.
- Conduct gap analyses to identify potential compliance risks and work with teams to address them.
- Prepare and submit documentation required for certifications and regulatory approvals.
- Support audits inspections and testing processes necessary for certification approvals.
- Advocate for LODD Autonomous in industry working groups contributing to the evolution of standards and regulations.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering Regulatory Affairs or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in certification regulatory compliance or safety engineering preferably in the automotive robotics or aerospace industries.
- Indepth knowledge of certification processes such as ISO 26262 ISO 21448 (SOTIF) SAE UNECE regulations or other relevant autonomous vehicle standards.
- Experience working with regulatory bodies such as NHTSA FMVSS DOT or international equivalents.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple certification programs simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory and technical requirements.
- Prior experience in autonomous vehicle technology or advanced driverassistance systems (ADAS) is a plus.
