HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

As the Boutique Director for our Boutique in Galleria Mall, Abu Dhabi, you will lead a large and multi-cultural team to provide clients with exceptional and unique experiences by ensuring excellence in boutique operations and client service.

WHAT WILL BE YOUR MISSION?

Besides achieving and exceeding KPIs, and with a strong focus on performance and profitability, you will represent Cartier as a true Cartier ambassador, building and inspiring a diverse team through a clearly defined vision.

You will work closely with local HQ to propose and implement new initiatives to animate the boutique throughout the year and to actively develop the business by recruiting new clients and by nurturing our historical clients, especially our High-End clientele.

Holding a true managerial role, you will be managing several departments in a complex and ever-changing environment : team of 60+ team members, 4 Direct Reports.

As the Boutique Director for Abu Dhabi, you will be expected to work Retail Hours (incl. weekends) and travel occasionally for training and events where needed.

WHAT WILL BE YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES?

Drive & grow to full potential the Commercial & Operational Performance of the Boutique

  • Actively collaborate with the different departments at local HQ level to adapt the strategy of the Maison to the boutique level.
  • Accountable for challenging a dedicated management team in the boutique to define and communicate clear action plans, to achieve the set ambitions defined hand in hand with the Retail Management.
  • Oversee all commercial activities and sales achievements of the boutique and monitor daily / weekly / monthly major retail KPIs to drive the business and implement actions to achieve them.
  • Oversee all High-End activities and High-End sales achievements of the boutique.
  • Responsible to define a clear High-End action plan to achieve ambition based on solid performance, environment, and competencies analysis.
  • In charge of bringing insights on competitive High-End market, and adjust strategy and action plans accordingly.
  • Responsible to find ways to optimize client waiting time, improve client facing time and qualities of interactions with end-clients along with the dedicated management team in the boutique.
  • Assess local market opportunities to implement a proactive and effective sales strategy.
  • Manage the operational costs of the P&L of the boutique in collaboration with finance and the retail team (T&Es, level of discounts & gratuity, selling costs).
  • Accountable for bringing innovative KPIs to optimize boutique performance.
  • Provide inspirational and motivational leadership, giving vision and clarity to the team, and sharing the strategy of the Maison as well as the objectives and priorities for the boutique.
  • Translate the boutique vision into individual objectives establishing clear priorities, KPIs and deadlines for each department.
  • Manage & lead Deputy Managers, who themselves manage all team members related to their functions (Sales, Client & Operations).
  • Manage and animate an agile organization of the boutique, in close collaboration with local HQ, to ensure the highest level of performance.
  • Identify high potentials with the support of the Deputy Managers, ensuring a singular and adapted development plan is curated & communicated accordingly.
  • Actively source candidates & maintain a pool of talents through candidates.
  • Show consistent and active managerial presence on the sales floor, modelling exceptional service and ensuring all team members embody the Cartier spirit.
  • Act as an inclusive leader to ensure every team member is respected and has a voice.
  • Lead the performance management process through regularly scheduled individual meetings including annual performance reviews, career committee, Individual Development Plan, etc.
  • Create a positive and productive boutique environment by leveraging both personal and team savoir-faire to always create a highly collaborative network.

Be an Ambassador of the Maison

  • Uphold the Cartier standards with ability to project an approachable and professional image in personal appearance, manner, and demeanor.
  • Represent the Maison at meetings, events (local & international), charity dinners and other work-related functions .
  • Be the ambassador and key contact person for all interactions with the Group and International HQ (to present the boutique, organize visits and events).
  • Uphold boutique image by ensuring a perfect implementation of the Maison image guidelines (VM, grooming…) and monitoring the boutique maintenance.

Infuse a client-centric approach and promote proactive Clienteling practices

  • Ensure a best-in-class client experience by ensuring an excellent client service within a highly digitalized environment.
  • Develop action plans to leverage clienteling opportunities with local relevant communities and develop partnerships with commercial third parties.
  • Build a yearly plan to animate the boutique and propose personalized client experiences to our different audiences to reinforce loyalty and generate business.
  • Oversee & participate in the different events organized hand in hand with local HQ.
  • Orchestrate top class concierge & in-store hospitality services.
  • In collaboration with the boutique management team, drive and monitor all CRM and clienteling initiatives.
  • Support & guide team members in managing their VIP & VVIP clients.
  • Lead & promote networking activities within the team.

Supervise Operations and assess Boutique flows

  • Develop clear actions to constantly improve the overall boutique operations & flows.
  • Ensure all Maison policies, procedures and guidelines are respected.
  • Partner with merchandising team to ensure proper level of stocks to support boutique sales.
  • Drive the changes and ensure adoption of new tools & services.
  • Oversee security of the team & orchestrate action on safety measures as needed.

HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?

  • You are passionate about driving Retail performance and client experiences with a minimum of 8 years of experience in Retail Management
  • You hold a degree in Business or Luxury Management, or any related field.
  • You have a strong entrepreneurial mindset and business acumen, which paired with your analytical skills allow you to leverage different productivity levers.
  • You are highly organized, proactive, hands-on, resourceful and motivated - with a positive and resilient attitude - to manage a complex environment towards high performance ambitions.
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills to handle both internal and external stakeholders (staff, partners, clients and colleagues).
  • You have the ability to credibly represent the Maison and its core values.
  • You convey rigorous attention to detail when it comes to client treatment and know how to navigate the relationship with VIP clients.
  • You have solid digital skills, with interest in new technologies and media.
  • You have prior experience, working in the UAE; international experience and knowledge of the watch & jewelry industry is an advantage.
  • You are fluent preferably in multiple languages with spoken and written English and Arabic mandatory (additional language skills are a plus).
