Head of Vessel Project Management

Location: Office-based (with 2 remote days/week).
Industry: Offshore & Maritime Projects.
Estimated Salary: Euros 100K – 120K per annum + 20% bonus of total salary + Private Health Insurance + Schooling Allowance.

About the Role

Our leading offshore vessel business seeks an experienced Head of Vessel Project Management to oversee fleet operations and drive excellence across global maritime projects. This senior leadership role manages a team of approximately 10 reports and is responsible for the Vessel Project Department, covering AHTS, PSV, FSIV, and crew boat activities. The incumbent ensures successful completion of vessel projects safely, on-time, and on-budget, while managing the P&L for global vessel projects and monitoring financial performance through key KPIs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead vessel project management and fleet operations strategy.
• Oversee contract management and ensure compliance with offshore industry standards.
• Collaborate with global teams and stakeholders to deliver complex maritime projects.
• Travel occasionally to vessel locations (Middle East, Africa, and South America).

Ideal Profile

10‑15 years’ experience in offshore business (chartering, vessel and fleet management, maritime projects).

• Previous roles as Operations Manager, Fleet Director, Chartering Management, Vessel Project Director, or Managing Director of a smaller maritime/offshore company.
• Proven track record in fleet management and operations.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills for managing diverse teams.
• Sailing experience on board vessels is not required (but can be advantageous).

Education

Engineering degree; MBA is a plus.

Work Schedule

Full-time, Monday‑Friday, flexible hours (office-based with 2 remote days/week).
