Job Overview:

As the Accountant for Lifan Motorbikes, you will be key to ensuring the financial health and efficiency of the business.

This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives on delivering accurate insights, and has hands on experience in financial reconciliations driving efficiency, and contributing directly to the growth of Lifan Motorbikes under the Legend Holding Group.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), general ledger postings, and timely recording of financial transactions.
  • Perform accurate bank, credit card, and supplier reconciliations, ensuring all variances are identified, investigated, and resolved promptly.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, supporting the finance team in closing activities and ensuring compliance with internal timelines.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with IFRS standards, UAE VAT regulations, and internal financial policies.
  • Assist in VAT return preparation, documentation management, and coordination with tax advisors when required.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, including Sales, Operations, and HR, to verify supporting documents, resolve discrepancies, and improve process accuracy.
  • Communicate with external stakeholders, such as clients, vendors, and auditors, providing necessary schedules, confirmations, and documentation.
  • Support external and internal audit processes, preparing audit requirements, responding to queries, and ensuring timely completion.
  • Contribute to process improvements, enhancing efficiency in reporting, documentation, and reconciliation activities.
  • Utilize ERP or accounting software effectively, ensuring accurate data entry and assisting with system upgrades or enhancements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA (or pursuing) are an added advantage.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably within the UAE, with strong exposure to AR/AP, reconciliations, and general ledger functions.
  • Solid understanding of IFRS, UAE VAT rules, and standard accounting practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel; experience with ERP systems is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to review financial data accurately and identify discrepancies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of working professionally with clients, vendors, auditors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to handle multiple priorities a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.
  • Proactive mindset, with the ability to take initiative, work independently, and contribute to continuous improvement within the finance function.
