Job summary

A leading company in the utilities sector is looking for an experienced Accountant in Abu Dhabi to maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations. The role includes preparing financial statements, supporting month-end closing activities, and coordinating with auditors. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and at least 4 years of relevant experience, ideally with knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and strong ERP system skills. Job Summary

The accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end closing, ensuring compliance with UAE financial regulations, and assisting in financial reporting and audits.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
• Process invoices, payments, and expense claims
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities
• Prepare financial statements and management reports
• Ensure compliance with VAT regulations and filings
• Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits
• Maintain proper documentation and financial records
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• 2 5 years of accounting experience (UAE experience preferred)
