Job summary
A leading engineering firm in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Accountant responsible for bookkeeping, financial reporting, and compliance with IFRS. The ideal candidate will hold a relevant bachelor's degree and have 3-10 years of experience in financial management, particularly in major infrastructure projects. This role offers a dynamic work environment and opportunities for growth in the accounting field.
Qualifications
- Qualified accountant or similar.
- At least 3-10 years of experience in bookkeeping and financial management.
Responsibilities
- Execute bookkeeping and manage country applicable taxes.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and maintain the General Ledger.
- Report accurate financial results.
Education
As the Accountant, you will be executing all matters with regard to the bookkeeping, country applicable taxes, financial and accounting for the project, ensuring the integrity of internal controls and accounting information in compliance with IFRS, and maintaining the integrity of the General Ledger (GL) to ensure accurate reporting of the financial results.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject (accounting, taxation, business, finance, economics).
- Qualified accountant or similar.
- At least 3-10 years of experience in bookkeeping, taxation, financial management, and accounting in major infrastructure projects and construction companies.
- Enthusiastic to advance in IFRS and good corporate governance.
