View Emirates Sports Club seeks a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee accounting functions. This is a key role within the finance team offering an exciting opportunity to manage our organization’s financial health.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the preparation and analysis of financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements).
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records by identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Perform budgeting and forecasting activities supporting other departments in financial planning.
  • Monitor and analyze monthly financial performance, providing explanations and recommendations to management.
  • Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and accounting transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, local tax laws, and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets.
  • Assist in preparing external audit schedules and coordinate audit activities with auditors.
  • Train and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 34 years of progressive accounting experience in UAE.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (preferably XERO).
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with high accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and inventory.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
